We are looking for a strategic, relationship-driven Manager, Community and External Relations to drive our fundraising, communications, and community engagement strategy, while developing and stewarding meaningful partnerships with donors, government, and other key stakeholders.
This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships, and wants to help shape how an organization shows up for the community it serves.
You will lead a small team and work closely with the Executive Director and Community Relations Committee to address a critical housing need in our community. This is a role where your work is visible, meaningful, and directly contributes to real impact.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
Minimum three (3) years of experience at a supervisory or management level, including at least two (2) years in fundraising, marketing, community relations, or business development.
Proven experience in donor relations, grant writing, and fund development planning.
Strong understanding of strategic communications, brand messaging, and public relations.Understanding of Microsoft 365, CRM systems, and email platforms.
Experience in a non-profit or community-based organization is an asset.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent Tikva persuasively to donors, media, and community partners.
Strong relationship-building skills to foster donor, community, and stakeholder engagement.
Proactive, strategic mindset with the ability to identify and seize new fundraising and partnership opportunities.
Comfortable managing multiple projects and competing deadlines under pressure.
High level of discretion and sound judgment in sensitive or high-profile situations.
COMPENSATION
Location: Vancouver, BC.
$75,000 – $85,000/year, based on experience.
Full-time, Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours/week.
In-office (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, and occasional evenings as well as community and external engagements).
Extended health & dental, Health Spending Account, 3% RRSP matching.
Paid vacation and most Jewish holidays, with schedule accommodations for Shabbat.
